Job Description

As Legal Counsel at Zaver you’ll support the business in a broad range of legal matters and you will be offered an exciting job with both regulatory and commercial challenges. You’ll help us offer our next-generation products and features to the merchants out there by also innovating from a legal perspective. We’re growing rapidly, but with your help, we’ll make it to Pluto and beyond. You’ll also support the business in building efficient internal control systems in order to identify and manage risks and non-compliance issues.

You will report to our Head of Legal and take an essential part in building up our legal department.


What You'll Do

• Advise on various regulatory legal matters, mainly within payments, consumer credit, privacy and AML.
  
• Participate in update, creation and implementation of governing documents.
  
• Support in developing new products and partnerships.
  
• Implement and evaluate the efficiency of internal control systems and revise procedures to identify risks and non-compliance issues.
  
• Support the organization in our international expansion.
  
• Keep ahead of regulatory updates and evolving best practice.

About you

You are structured and able to work efficiently both independently and in teams. You work with high integrity and have the capacity of performing in an entrepreneurial fast-paced environment with high-quality legal expertise. You love navigating within complex regulatory issues, and understand the value of a solution-driven mindset. The doer-mentality was something you were born with, and therefore, you’ll do what it takes to help us be a part of the revolution in payments.

We believe that you have

• A law/business law degree from a university.
  
• Previous relevant legal experience. Experience from working within AML/regulatory is a plus.
  
• A solid interest in new technologies within the payment industry and a willingness to learn.
  
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in Swedish and English (high proficiency in German is considered a plus).
  
• Experience from the financial sector is an advantage but not a must (experience from the German financial sector is considered a plus).
